Update--First entry of 2005

Hi everyone. Allyson has started our family history. We will be forever grateful if we can all add to it every day or whenever we can. At the end of the year it will be enjoyable to look back and remember the major events. Yes, Allyson has been home for a week and worked very hard to complete a corduroy quilt. It looks very nice and will be a great addition to her trousseau. Yes, the homemade vegetables...except the 'homemade noodles' were Country noodles...which I dare anyone to tell the difference.
We have had much needed snow. I was snowed in on Wednesday and it had snowed 8-12 inches on Monday. Tuesday night the wind blew and made high snow drifts. When Dick came home from the Barn from calving the cows, he got stuck in the snowdrift at the bottom of the hill. He walked home through the snow. He dispatched Raquel to go to the bus...guess what..she got stuck in the same snow drift. Dick revved up the big diesel truck and went over through the corral at the milk barn. He took Raquel to school so she got there ok. Things have melted and the view is beautiful. We need the moisture for the crops this summer. I have been putting away the Christmas decorations and have just a few left.

We had a very nice Christmas season. The family all came home and we enjoyed the time together. Have a great new year 2005.
